Lumii.

A mobile consumer software product, held by the office and built by its principals.

Description

Lumii is a mobile consumer software product. The application performs a multi-angle facial scan from the device’s front camera and produces, from that scan, a personal skin and care protocol. The product is delivered exclusively on mobile and is intended for use by individual subscribers.

The application’s purpose is to substitute, in part, for the work a consumer otherwise undertakes by hand: assessing one’s own face, identifying its salient features, and assembling a routine appropriate to them. Lumii performs that task systematically and returns its findings as a written protocol.

Audience

The product is built for adult consumers who take an active interest in personal care. The principal audience is women, aged eighteen and over; the product is not restricted by gender.

The office expects the audience to be motivated by curiosity about themselves and by a preference for specificity over generality. Each protocol is generated from the subscriber’s own face and is unique to that subscriber.

Method

In use, the subscriber holds the device at arm’s length and turns the head through a short series of angles at the application’s prompt. The application records and aligns the resulting frames, locates the relevant features, and computes a number of measurements from each angle.

Approximately seventy-five facial metrics are recorded per scan. From those metrics, the application assembles its protocol — a written list of recommendations covering skin, daily routine, and points of personal style.

Particulars

The application is built natively for mobile. The user-facing software is written in TypeScript on React Native. The analysis runs on a private server operated by the office and uses an open-source facial-landmarking model in conjunction with a measurement model developed by the principals.

No subscriber’s facial data is shared with third parties. The company is the data controller in respect of subscribers’ personal data and processes it under the terms of its published privacy notice.

Status

Lumii was entered into the company’s register in March 2026. As of the present, the application is in private beta and is not generally available. A measured public release is anticipated. No commercial commitments concerning a release date have been made, and none will be made until the product is ready in the office’s judgement.

Disposition

The company intends to hold and develop Lumii directly. The holding sits on the company’s own balance sheet. There is no scheduled disposition, no fund-style exit, and no obligation to sell. The position is reviewed by the principals on the office’s own timeline.

Correspondence

Operator and partner enquiries concerning Lumii are addressed to office@hfjoandco.com. Press, recruiters, and unsolicited proposals to sell investment products do not, as a rule, receive a reply.
